UPDATE
I spoke with Ms. Marion and WE will have MOODLE training next Tuesday! We will meet in room T205 (I think...it's the computer lab in the Technology building on the second floor T20something!)
Ms. Marion will tell us all we need to know about accessing Moodle and using it for class. I'll transfer over my blackboard files to the new, highly-anticipated and massively, cool Moodle files.
Work on your pre-interview speeches. What is a pre-interview speech?
1. Introduce yourself to the patient
2. Explain your position...I am the interpreter for.....
3. Explain what you do... My job is to....
Hmmm this should be interesting, because technically I haven't shared with you the job description of an Interpreter, I'm interested to see what you think an interpreter's job consists of daily. Typically your pre-interview speech should be short and to the point. 1-2minutes max.

and that would be me also!!!
No, it wouldn't! I have to admit I LOVE Peggy Hill and crack up every time she speaks Spanish!
it was funny!
* What is interpreting?
* What is translating?
* Why do you think people use interpreting and translating interchangeably?
interp is listening, changing to another language and repeating verbally.
translating is written transference.
Why do peeps interchange? Cause...they don't know any better!
